Event Description

Join us as we host Boston Strong: A City's Triumph over Tragedy co-author and acclaimed journalist Casey Sherman as he shares the harrowing and heroic stories of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.

Through months of intensive interviews with those who experienced the bombings first hand, Casey shares a tragic but uplifting story that makes us honored to say that “We are Boston Strong.”

Sherman's latest national best-seller is now in production as a major motion picture for 20th Century FOX directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House, starring Denzel Washington).

Beer, wine and light hors d'oeuvres will be served. Books will be available for purchase.

Thanks to the generosity of Casey Sherman, 100% of event proceeds will benefit the Ellie Fund’s 2015 Boston Marathon Team. This year the Ellie Fund joins the John Hancock Non-Profit Marathon Program in honoring an anniversary year with the 2015 Boston Marathon. Founded in 1995, the Ellie Fund looks forward to celebrating its 20th year with the same event that ignited the Ellie Fund’s fundraising efforts.

With the help of this year's runners Christopher Doney, Penny Fireman and Jeffrey Harrelson, we are striving to raise $30,000 to help change the lives of the women, men and children that line the marathon route each year.
